Ezer Lab goes to the Genetics Society Seed Plant Research Meeting
The entire Ezer lab journeyed together to Durham to attend the Genetic’s Society Seed Plant Research Meeting. Gina and Will presented posters, while Ethan presented a talk. Sarah won a £50 gift certificate and a chocolate egg from the prize draw. We all had fun going to the conference dinner at Durham Castle. Our wild lighting system Our lab is interested in how plants sense subtle changes in light frequencies in the morning. Gina Vong is developing code to programme our 9 channel Heliospectra Dyna lights to mimic real sunrises, while Will Claydon and Ethan Redmond have been programming the lights in our Nightshade, a box we have that is equipped with a very sensitive camera that can be used for bioluminescence experiments.
